SOUTHEAST ASIAN PRIX JEUNESSE : Video Festival and Contest for Southeast Asian Children with ANAK TV, the Republic of Philippines

          On 28 April 2017, at Romjai 1 Meeting Room, the Center for ASEAN Studies and Training, led by Asst. Prof. Siri-orn Champatong (Director), along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Prateep Vajeetongrattana (Dean, Faculty of Management Science) and Mr. Somsak Klaisang (Vice-Dean), Mr. Nititorn Ounpipat (Head, Department of Film and Digital Media) and lecturers recently extended a warm welcome Ms. Elvira Yap Go (President), Ms. Viz Bonalos (Festival Director), Ms. Edith del Rosario (Board Director), Ms. Je Paje (Festival Coordinator), Ms. Jalyn Dumag (ANAK TV staff) and Mr. Roel Evangelista (Videographer) from ANAK TV, the Republic of Philippines.
         The visitation aimed at promoting THE 1 st SOUTHEAST ASIAN PRIX JEUNESSE : Video Festival and Contest for Southeast Asian Children. This project was from the success of The Prix Jeunesse Festival in Munich, Federal Republic of Germany in May 2016. This contest invites VDO makers who are professionals, amateurs, youth and students from all over ASEAN countries to showcase their talents and create the short VDO in the theme of PRIDE IN SELF, FAMILY VALUES AND TRADITIONS. The festival and competition will be held in November 2017 in Manila, Republic of Philippines hosted by ANAK TV Inc. Next, ANAK TV team visited the new operation rooms of mass communication and business management such as Theatre Room, Smart Classrooms and MAC Pro Operation Room for the future collaboration in mass communication.
Towards the end, Mr. Anantachai Ekka (Director of Office of Arts and Culture) and Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriman Wattana (Deputy-Director) welcomed them to Sai Suddha Nobhadol Mansion Museum. The visitors were explored some of the Museum's fascinating exhibitions by the official curator and a volunteer student from Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. This welcoming provided them a profound impression on SSRU’s well conserved Thai culture.
