CAST & OAC Promoted Arts and Culture in Singapore

          During 7-12 February 2017, the Center for ASEAN Studies and Training leaded by Asst. Prof. Siri-orn Champatong (Director) and the Office of Arts and Culture leaded by Asst. Prof. Pansak Vandee (Deputy Director for Planning and Administration Affairs), Dr. Siriman Wattana (Deputy Director for Academic and Activity Affairs), Ms. Chinchira Bunchutrakun (Deputy Director for External Affairs & Overseas Cooperation) and staffs recently had the Thai Food Craving Workshop under the project of ASEAN Cultural Cooperation and Promotion between the Office of Labour Affairs Royal Thai Embassy, Singapore and Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University at Royal Thai Embassy, Republic of Singapore. It was very honored to have H.E. Thongchai Chasawad, Thai Ambassador at the opening and certificate ceremony on the first day and Mr. Chairat Sirivat, Minister & Deputy Chief of Mission at the closing and certificate ceremony on the second day. In addition, this project was well accepted and appreciated from all participants who are the entrepreneurs, Thai restaurant workers, Thai Association members, housewives and who live in Singapore. This workshop would be the knowledge and skill for their jobs and for the cultural promotion afterwards.

          In this occasion, SSRU delegates also had the meeting with the National Heritage Board at National Museum of Singapore. It was much honored to have Mr. Gerald Wee Jin Ann, Deputy Director International Relations and Mr. Loh Kai Quan, Assistant Manager International Relations at the welcoming and exchanging of idea and museum management.
