ASEAN Academic Alliance (AAA) Conference 2017 in Cambodia
During 30 August – 2 September 2017, the Center for ASEAN Studies and Training (CAST) led by Asst. Prof. Siri-orn Champatong (Director) and staffs to attend the ASEAN Academic Alliance (AAA) Conference 2017 at BELTEI International University (BELTEI IU), Phnom Penh, the Kingdom of Cambodia. Additionally, it was our honored to have Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanasuwit Thabhiranrak (Vice-President for Research and Development) and Miss Napasri Suwanajote (Assistant to the President for International Affairs). Morning session.... The opening session; started with the National Anthem of Kingdom of Cambodia, Khmer Traditional Dancing, welcome remarks by H.E. LY Chheng (Director General of BELTEI Group and President of BELTEI IU), and opening remarks by His Excellency Academician Dr. Hang Chuon Naron (Minister of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport by MoEYS). The giving speech and round table discussion on the theme of, "Future Skills for Future Careers - the Roles of Higher Education Institutes" by the university executives from Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar; 1. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanasuwit Thabhiranrak (Vice-President for Research and Development of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University), Thailand 2. H.E. LY Chheng (Director General of BELTEI Group and President of BELTEI IU), Cambodia 3. Dr. Phrak Palla (Senior Lecture of BELTEI IU), Cambodia 4. Dr. Tan Jing Hee (Executive Director of East Asia Institute of Management: EASB), Singapore 5. Dr. Le Anh Phuong (Rector of Hue University), Vietnam 6. Dr. Myint Thu Zar Tun (Professor of University of Information Technology), Myanmar Afternoon session... The academic paper presentation and opening remarks by Mr. ROS Paradise (Vice President / Dean of Faculty of Education, Arts, and Humanities - Tourism and Hospitality); this year, there were 19 researchers from SSRU (1 - Faculty of Education, 4 - Faculty of Science and Technology, 1 - Faculty of Management Science, 7 - Faculty of Industrial Technology, 5 - International College and 1 - Division of General Affairs). Asst. Prof. Siri-orn Champatong (Director, Center for ASEAN Studies and Training) and the executives of International College had a campus tour at BELTEI International School (BELTEI IS), Phnom Penh, the Kingdom of Cambodia....and thank you; * H.E.
